Today is the day! In a few hours, we will be heading down to Hollywood to see the musical, WICKED! 

 I have seen it once before, and that was in December. I loved it so much, that the very next day I bought tickets for my Husband and I so that He could see it too! And, of course, so I could see it again! 

The cast is exceptional, but my favorite is Mamie Parris, who plays Elphaba, AKA The Wicked Witch Of The West. She.is. INCREDIBLE! The voice on her is like nothing I've EVER heard! 

 If you've never heard of this sweet musical, I suggest you visit their website and learn more about them! Chances are, they'll be in your neck of the woods at some point during their tour! They're wrapping up here on Sunday and heading out!

So, so excited! What a wonderful time we're gonna have! 

From Broke Down to Breathtaking!

So have you ever had an incident where you're holding your baby (child, teenager, WHATEVER), and they do THIS to your FAVORITE necklace?

Yeah, thought you moms out there could relate. I was so, so sad! Even though this necklace was $0.50 in the Fashion District of Downtown Los Angeles, I LOVED it! It was such a pretty color, and fit perfectly!

 So what can you do when this happens? Improvise!

Using these supplies, I was able to thread the ribbon into each bead, securing a knot between the beads. I attached a black bow to the necklace, and voila! A super chic, NEW necklace!

 I'm a happy mama again. Well, and I replaced the necklace with the very same one last week since we were down in LA for a field trip-HAH!

So apparently I'm on a Valentine's Day kick! I think I'm coming down from Christmas, and busying myself with  a new holiday's decor before I can be bummed about having to take down all my Christmas decorations!

Valentine's Day Wreath

Well hello there friends! How are you all? It's already 13 days into the New Year...WOW! 2012. Sounds so....futuristic. I've seen so many great ideas for Family Mission Statements and goals. Definitely gonna borrow some for this year!

 Anywhoo! Today I want to share with you a cute little wreath I put together for Valentine's Day. So here we go!

First, I cut out a heart from a cardboard box.

 I then wrapped it with strips of burlap, using my handy dandy GLUE GUN every couple of wraps.

Then I made little rosettes out of strips of burlap, and hot glues them to the heart.

 Put it on your front door with a strip of ribbon, and TADA! Cute, easy Valentine's Day Wreath!

5 Minute Egg Nest Necklace

Hi everyone! Did you all have a great Christmas? We did! But I'm kinda glad it's over. It's always so hectic around the holidays.

So! Today I want to share with you this sweet little necklace I made. It literally takes like, 5 minutes once you get the hang of it! I ended up spray painting the pearls light blue, and they chipped a little when working with them. But I kinda like them like that!

 Ok, here we go! 

Supplies Needed:

+Floral Wire

+Needle Nose Pliers

+Jump Rings

+Wide Marker

+Circle Beads

Take your wire, and wrap it around the marker. I used this highlighter because I liked the width of it; it makes for a good sized nest! 

After wrapping the floral wire around the marker several times, remove the wire carefully, leaving about 4 inches extra before cutting from spool. Then thread the wire around the nest a few times to secure one side. 

Thread a bead through, and then wrap the wire around the opposite end a few times to secure the bead. If you run out of wire, just start a new one and repeat process for each bead you want in the nest (in my case, it was 4).

Then I attached a jump ring to string the necklace through, and voila! You have a cute little egg nest necklace!! Easy Peasy RIGHT?!

Boy, did December fly or what?!

 Are you guys finished with your Christmas shopping? Yeah.....I'm not. But close! That has to count for something, right? Oh, such a busy season this always is! Yet it has really gotten so far off the point, which is our sweet Lord Jesus who gave His life for us! Let us remember that, every day of the year :)

So! I'm finished with my buffet remodel and can not WAIT to show it to you all-it's truly breathtaking! We got it into our room tonight, so expect pictures soon!

Oh Christmas Treeeee!!

Our lovely Christmas tree. That I just LOVE. So much. The toys to the left crept their way in the pic, the skirt was tossled about because of the electronic Zhu Zhu Pet cruising underneath it, much to the delight of the girls, and no presents are under the tree.

 But, the tree....is UP. And looking so beautiful. So much more stunning in person. Some of you have that opportuinty, to see it in person. Some don't. But trust me-she's a joy to have in our home :)
